- Abstract:
- This poem is an ode to the death of the famous poet, from Pemba, Ali bin Said known under the pseudonym of Kamange. The poem was composed by Sarahani, also a known poet from Pemba. The poem is written in Kipemba with many words peculiar to the Kipemba dialect, as well as many Arabic loans. In fact, the author provides a translation in Swahili of difficult words and of words of Arabic origins. ( en )
