- Abstract:
- The manuscript contains the following correspondence, in chronological order: a letter from an advisory reader (the Rev. A.R. Pittway) to the Secretary of the Inter-Territorial Language Committee (Mr B.J. Ratcliffe); a letter from Mr Ratcliffe to the pastor (the Rev. F. Gleiss) who submitted the manuscript for approval; a letter from Mr Ratcliffe to Mr Pittway; and a letter from Mr Gleiss to Mr Ratcliffe. The first letter concerns suggested corrections to Purgatori au Tohara; the second and third relate to the bureaucracy of the ITLC. In the fourth and longest letter, Mr Gleiss questions the judgement of the ITLC on specific points of language. ( en )
