- Biographical history: Ishtiaq Azhar was born in Kanpur on 3rd May 1924. He was active in the Muslim League before Independence. He moved to Karachi, Pakistan following Partition. He became a Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Senator in Pakistan.
