- Abstract:
- S/56 contains two essays in Swahili discussing Swahili style in literature. The first paper entitled ‘Fasihi ya Kiswahili’ is by J A Ramadhani who discusses in general the different genres of Swahili literature. The second paper entitled ‘Fasihi ya Kiswahili: Wakati Ukuta’ is by Bi M L Y Balisidya who uses the play by the zanzibari writer Ebrahim Hussein to discuss Swahili literary style. S/57 contains what seems to be the third chapter of a Swahili Grammar written by O B Kopoka from the East African Swahili Committee. The title of the chapter is ‘Sarufi na Ufasaha III Matendo’ S/58 contains a paper by S S Mushi about the terminology of mental diseases in Swahili. The paper was commissioned by the Tanzania Commissioner for Culture. ( en )
