Abstract:
Usually for the Friday celebration the Imam (Khatib) reads out from the minbar two speeches in Arabic called khutbatani (sing. khutba). In this first section of MS 47780 there are four khutba. The first two khutbanani are given specifically for the Iid al-fitr, to celebrate the end of Ramadan. The Other two are given for Iid al-adhha, to celebrate the end of Hajj (pilgrimage to Mecca).
