Notes

Abstract:
This final section of MS 47759 contains the description of a Christian mass, written in Arabic. The last pages, from the left side of the MS, contain two beautiful drawings with the same inscription saying ‘Tartiibu munaawalati assaai al-rrabb ilaa al-sshirkati al-Muqaddasati’ referring to the way in which a mass in performed. In fact, the long narrative explains step-by-step how the priest is performing the mass in relation to the meaning of the last supper. There is no indication of the name of the author or the scribe.
