Notes
- Abstract:
- In this miscellaneous section there is various material. First there is the transliteration, in Arabic script, of the hymns of St Paul, most probably written by Taylor. Then there is information about the story of Hirqal, already discussed in MS 45022. This is followed by a short list of words in Kingozi (old Swahili), and by historical material on the WaJomvu people inhabiting an area in the outskirts of Mombasa. Finally, we found the first stanza of the poem ‘Wanawake watano’ (Five Swahili Women: weighed in the balance) that is to be found complete in MS 47757, and miscellaneous short poems. ( en )
