Abstract:
This MS contains the complete typescript manuscript of a book on Swahili syntax by Lyndon Harries. The book is divided into 8 chapters plus introduction and bibliography. The chapters are entitled as follow: 1. The Word-Classes 2. The Syntactic Units 3. Subjects 4. Predicators and Sentence-Sets 5. Syntax of Derived Verbs 6. Adjuncts 7. Topic and Comment 8. Syntax of Clauses Each chapter is contained in a separate folder, yellow for the first chapter and orange for the Others. It does not appear that the manuscript was published. ( en )
