|a This is a poetic representation of the Qur’anic chapter Suratil Qariat, which concerns ‘siku ya kiama,’ the Day of Judgement. The seventh stanza, somewhat unusually, includes the phrase ‘qila qila,’ - ‘pasiwe na qila qila’: without ‘ifs’ ‘ands’ or ‘buts’ - which has origins in Arabic. The tenth stanza treats two Qur’anic verses, the first posing a question and the second providing the answer. The poem contains errors likely made during typing. |
