Sheikh Mgeni was a religious teacher in Mbweni, Bagamoyo, and in Bagamoyo he composed this epic, using as his source the Arabic book entitled Futuhu ‘lYamani. The source of the corrections and notes in this particular partial manuscript is unknown. |
