- J.D. Clive writes of spirits that are believed to haunt Lamu. C. W. Reddie writes of a mosque at Kipini that has a design known to be ‘universal in Persia’; in the building, a wall divides separate mosques for men and women. N.B. C.W. Reddie may be C.S. Reddie whose arrival, together with Mr. A. Marsden, at Lamu in Kenya is noted in the Official Gazettee in March 1901. ( en )
