Notes
- Abstract:
- The manuscript 53825 contains free-verse poetry taken from Judge Hamilton’s book, as stated at the beginning of the MS. The first part, described here, contains modern short poems divided either by a number or by a line at the end of each one. The structure of the poems is unusual as some poems have 8 lines per stanza, while Others are much longer. The poems are in the free-verse form, without a rhyming system, although, in some instances, rhymes do occur. The subject of the poems concern daily life, community events, celebrations, and social issues. ( en )
