Notes
- Abstract:
- This section also contains a collection of traditional poems by unknown authors. The poems were originally performed orally, and were transcribed probably by Mohammed Kijumwa who gave them to Hichens. However, some poems seem to have belonged to Taylor and, probably, to Alice Werner too. The content of the poems vary, but the general themes concern social issues and moral behaviour in Swahili society. ( en )
