- This section of MS 53489 contains miscellaneous notes and pages from 1930s magazines and publications that deal with East Africa coastal history. The section begins with an attempted chronological history, from the prehistoric period, probably done by Hichens. It also includes a 1939 Daily Telegraph ‘s article, two damaged leaves from Tanganyika Notes and Records, and two leaves from The Crown Colonist, dated May 1933. ( en )
