|a This portion of MS 47779 contains a fanciful poem on the death of Sheikh Ali, or Sayyidnaa Ali bin Abi Twalib, the son-in-law of the Prophet Mohammed. The poem describes Sheikh Ali giving final instructions to his family and friends but ends before his actual death. Figures named in the poem include Mohammed bin Azizi and Selman. The utenzi, which appears to be incomplete, makes no reference to date, scribe or author. |
