Notes

Abstract:
This section contains 9 letters between Alice Werner and Hichens and Mrs Taylor (wife of Rev. W Taylor). The letters to Hichens are handwritten and difficult to read, but seem to be mainly about points of clarification requested by Hichens, with reference to certain manuscripts. The letters to Mrs Taylor, date 1927, discuss the purchase of linguistics books and Other Mss belonging to the late Rev. W Taylor, currently in Alice Werner’s possession. This section ends with a note by Alice Werner’s sister, dated 1935, informing Hichens of Alice’s illness. Alice Werner died in the same year. ( en )
