520 3    |a This section of MS 205000 provides information on the Kingdom of Shagga ruled by Liyongo’s father, and about the war of succession between Liyongo and his cousin, Daudi Mringwari, at the death of Fumo Mringwari I. The poem entitled, in English, ‘The Dream Song’ narrates about these events. In the manuscript we find a part of the original, with a translation on the same page. This section, also contains fragments of various Liyongo poems and songs that provide information on his life. We noted the ‘Bathing song’, ‘ The Song of Shagga’, ‘The Song of Poverty’, ‘The Song to Saada’. The rest of this part uses fragments of Hadithi ya Liyongo, and of theTakhmisa, ‘The Dungeon Song’, to conclude this historical description of the life of the Swahili hero.
