Notes

Abstract:
This small section of MS 193290 contains a short hadithi about the profession of washing clothes, which is mainly done by Indians, and Dobi is the person that performs the job. The story has humorous device as many in this collection of hadithi. Like in MS 193290f, here too we find Taylor’s name at the top left corner of page 1, which suggests that the story was originally written in Arabic script and transliterated, as well as having being preserved from oral literature.
