|a This hadithi, part of the collection MS 193290, is also a short story about moral values. One of the characters in the story is Abunawas, also known as Bwanawasi. This shows that the aim of the story is to provide cleaver and intelligent advices. Abunawas is present in many Swahili short stories to symbolize intelligence. The story also deals with the issue of jealousy between the first wife of King Harun Rashid and his slave girl. The story tells that the King was giving privileges to the son of the slave girl rather than to the son by his first wife. The typescript copy is however incomplete. |
