|a This manuscript contains a hadithi written in Swahili in Roman type. The author and the origins of the story are unknown. Because the content deals with behavioural conduct, it may be possible to assume that the story originated as oral literature. The collector may have heard the story, recorded and typed it. In brief, the story narrates of the relationship between a father and son after the son’s mOther has died. The son wishes to help his father, but Swahili culture dictates that sons cannot help fathers, because the reverse is the norm. Like Other material in MS 193290, this story is quite humorous. |
