Abstract:
This section contains three envelopes with published material. The first envelopes contains the manuscript of the book by Allen ‘A Catalogue of the Swahili and Arabic manuscripts and papers in the library of the University of Dar es Salaam’. The second envelopes contains the article by C Velten ‘Seminars fur Orientalische Sprachen’ in German that was published in Berlin in 1898. In the last envelopes there are miscellaneous books of translations of English pieces of literature into Swahili by Allen. The most translation included is that of ‘Julius Caesar’ by Shakespeare.
