Abstract:
This section contains correspondence between Allen and various publishers regarding the publication of various manuscripts, for instance the ones that saw the publication in ‘Tendi’ (1971), or ‘Utendi wa Ras ‘lGhul’, ‘Utendi wa Qiyama’, and ‘Utendi wa Ayubu’. Among the letters, there is one page of scattered information about Swahili Prosody, and a description of the ‘Utenzi wa Seyyidna Huseni Bin Ali’ by Hemed Abdallah al-Buhry, and also the book’s review on ‘Tendi’ by Allen reviewed by Farouk Topan, and a book’s review in German for Allen’s book ‘The Swahili and Arabic Manuscripts at the University of Dar-es-Salaam’.
