Abstract:
This file contains 18 letters between various Swahili scholars and JWT Allen and between Allen and publishing houses discussing the publication of various books in Swahili, like for instance, ‘Mtemi Mrembo’, and ‘Kisa cha Makibeth’ [translated from Shakespeare]. Also, in a letter Mr Hutchinson is asking Allen to review the book ‘Swahili Poetry’ by Lyndon Harries but Allen suggests Amri Abedi. There are also two letters in German by Damman, and finally, a magazine extract about the life of Shaaban Robert. ( en )
