Abstract:
The poem contained here is a prayer to ask God to give mercy to the Prophet Mohammed. Al-ssalatu-l-Mudhariyya, which is the original name of the prayer in Arabic, is rendered in Swahili as Swala ya Mudhari. This is in fact a translation from the Arabic made by Mansab al-Husayniy. ( en )
