- Abstract:
- This MS is a religious poem, waadhi, originally written in Arabic, entitled ‘Tabaraka Dhul-Ulaa’. The version contained here includes the Arabic version with line by line translation in Swahili. The MS does not provide the name of the author of the Arabic version, but only the name of the translator as Manswab Al-Husayni Mansab. The poem contains 151 verses divided into groups by means of a letter of the Arabic alphabet. Each group of verses uses a letter of the alphabet as ending syllable in each line. ( en )
