Notes
- Abstract:
- This section contains a story that narrates the life of the Prophet Mohammed. The MS is however not complete and many parts are unreadable. Afterwards, there are fragments of ‘Hadith al-Kisa’, a famous islamic story about the Prophet and his family. In short, the story narrates when the Prophet Mohammed visits his daughter Fatima and because he’s not feeling well he asked her to give him a blanket (kisa). Then, the Prophet’s grandsons, Fatima and Ali also go under the blanket. The whole family is called Ahlut Bayt, which means ‘custodians of the message’ implying also those who have a special relationship with the Prophet, i.e. his family. The Angel Jibril is also send by Allah to join them under the Kisa. The Kisa symbolises that all devotees of Allah shoudl ‘envelop’ themselves under the Kisa and pray in the name of Allah. The last item of this section is a short poem in the shairi form where the unknown author asks God about travelling to Mecca in order to do the Hejira. ( en )
