Abstract:
This MS contains two items. First, there is a religious poem praising the Prophet Mohammed written by Said Hasan Ahmed Badawy from Lamu, a very famous religious scholar that became to be considered as a Saint. This is followed by two poems about the first Muslims wars, the famous War of Badr and the War of Uhdi. More information about the War of Badr can be found is MS 307 (279888, vol.2). The poem about the war of Uhdi was published by a Mumbai printing house as a book entitled ‘Jalibat l-arab-fii nadhmi jaliyati-lkarab’. ( en )

Biographical information: Said Hassan Ahmed Badawy was a very famour religious scholar who became to be considered a Saint by his community. His father built the famous Riyadha Mosque in Lamu.
