- Abstract:
- This is another version of the famous historical and religious poem ‘Utendi wa Qatr(i)fu’, also known as the ‘Utenzi wa Amuri’. The poem begins with the common religious opening ‘Bismillahi Rahmani Rahim’, and it has a rhyming system ending with the syllable ‘RI’. Each line has four syllables. This version can be read either in vol. 2 of MS 279888 where some parts are very poorly readable, or in the microfilm fiche SOAS University of London microfilm: M1008, reel 1.
