- Abstract:
- Food security, energy supply, environmental sustainability and rising inequality - these intertwined issues play a crucial role in the ongoing health, or otherwise, of any nation. In China, the world’s most populous country, and one that has experienced the most complex and dynamic economic growth of the last two millennia, such issues are played out on a massive scale against a complex cultural and historical background, with national and global effect. -- At our second annual China Debate, senior-level experts from different sectors will explore the question ‘How healthy is China?’ and offer their personal and professional insights into China’s economic, political, cultural and environmental health.
