REV. P. A. BRUCE, Headmaster of the Chefoo School, 1930-1945, and then President of the Chefoo Schools Association, was ’promoted to Glory' on May 15, 1973. The December 1973 issue of the magazine will have a fitting tribute to him.

“...reasons to go to China herself as a missionary she served many years in the offices of the CIM at Newington Green, as secretary to Mr. J. B. Martin and later the Rev. Norman Pateman, whose duties included helping Chefoo boys and girls, when they first came to Britain, in any way possible. Mr. Pateman writes of how MISS RIDGE herself took the liveliest personal interest in each one of these young Chefusians, an interest which she maintained to the end. She became a member of the Chefoo Schools Association.
MISS G. M. UNWIN (1878-1972)
Those of us who were pupils in the Prep School while MISS UNWIN was on the Staff (1909-1915) have the happiest memories of her as a teacher. (For some of us these have been revived through seeing her ’Transition Work Reports’ book, which is now in the Chefoo 'Archives').. ROBERT LOOSLEY writes of MISS UNWIN as a skilful, understanding nurse, "Once, while I was in an isolation ward with some exotic disease (I was in a coma for more than a week) I was under MISS UNWIN'S...”

ARTHUR B. ALLEN & DOROTHEA (FOUCAR) ALLEN (1903 -1915) -"Last summer we took our annual trip north to visit our folks in Ontario. We were sorry not to be able to fit in the Toronto Chefoo Reunion. The focal point, however, was to visit our daughter, ROSALINE (Ruling 1948-1951), her husband Fred STOEHR and their first-born, Annette Marie, in their home at 1597 Cherrylawn, Windsor, 21, Ontario. Recently we enjoyed a short visit from JIM HARRISON (Chefoo c. 1937-1945) and family as they were on their way from Oregon to visit their folks here in the East, some in Lancaster, Pa.
