“...Newsletter. No. 19.
JULY, 1937
Chefoo Schools Great Britain
Association X Branch.
SECRETARY’S NOTES.
The Newsletter. The response to our request for news for this issue has been rather discouraging. We realise that Old Chefusians share in the hectic rush of modern day life, but we do feel that they could do more to help in the production of our Newsletter by sending news and articles for publication. The Secretary is sorry that no article on the Coronation has been sent in when it is known that a number of Old Chefusians were fortunate spectators of the Procession.
The prize for the best article sent in for this issue has been awarded to Mildred Porter.
News and copy for the next issue should reach the Assistant Editor before October 5th.
List of Members. With this issue we are including the list of names and addresses of N. American members of the C.S.A. as supplied by the local Secretary, Marion Taylor, to whom we are grateful for all that she does for the Association. Next year it is intended...”

“...next year if it proves necessary. I believe ths girls and boys are quite pleased with the arrangement—though it happens this year that one combination is weak in both schools.”
The Cup will be engraved each year with the names of the winning pair of Houses. Old Chefusians will be glad to know that this Cup will be presented on Foundation Day in order to keep up the old tradition. The Tennis Singles Cups, we understand, will always be presented at the Prize-giving at the end of the summer term.
China Secretary. Mrs. Weston has felt obliged to resign this post, and we do thank her for the help she has given us in the past. We regret that there seems to be so little interest in the C.S.A. among the Old Chefusians in Shanghai, where there was, at one time, a very flourishing branch of the Association.
Miss E. M. Broomhall, our Chefoo Secretary, has kindly consented to act as Secretary for the whole of China.
