We realise that Old Chefusians share in the hectic rush of modern day life, but we do feel that they could do more to help in the production of our Newsletter by sending news and articles for publication. The Secretary is sorry that no article on the Coronation has been sent in when it is known that a number of Old Chefusians were fortunate spectators of the Procession. The prize for the best article sent in for this issue has been awarded to Mildred Porter. News and copy for the next issue should reach the Assistant Editor before October 5th. List of Members. With this issue we are including the list of names and addresses of N. “...be in London on that date. She does hope that many of her friends will endeavour to come to this “ Chow.” Presentation Awards to the Chefoo Schools. The School authorities at Chefoo have kindly accepted the offer made jointly by our Great Britain Branch and the North American Branch to present a permanent Silver Cup for an annual Inter-House Tennis Doubles Competition. This will be additional to the annual Tennis Singles Championship Cups, which are provided out of the General Fund of the Association. For this Competition each House in the Boys’ School will be linked up with a House in the Girls’ School. We have not yet heard how the Houses have been paired, but we understand from our Chefoo Secretary, Miss Marjory Broomhall, that the competition has been arranged as follows : “ Each pair of Houses shall send in two couples—a first and a second— and there shall be two sets of games played—first against first, and seconds against seconds. The two Co-Ed. courts are side by side, and we propose...”

Eva McCarthy has arrived on what seems now to be an annual summer visit to England and Ireland. Margaret Weller is leaving Guildford High School at the end of this term. David Landsborough has qualified in his surgery, and is to do the same in his M.B. in July. John Green is now the Accountant of the C.I.M. at Newington Green. Mr. Howard Stooke was elected President of the Bristol Association of Baptist Churches for 1936-37. He is still Minister of the Victoria Park 10...”
