General Note:
The Gaddi Baithak wing was built in European style abutting the Hanuman Dhoka Palace complex by Rana Prime Minister Chandra Shamsher in 1908. The whole complex suffered major damage in the earthquake. The Gaddi Baithak portion has been rebuilt with funding from USAID. In the foreground, curio sellers are waiting for tourists in the open space outside the palace complex.
