Notes

General Note:
The people of Laprak are predominantly agropastoralists, still practising transhumance. The younger generation has moved out of the village in search of gainful employment in foreign armies, labour markets, and tourism sector. This memorial to Aas Bahadur Gurung, a high-altitude guide, attests to their new-found occupation and its hazards.
General Note:
Funded by GCRF (Global Challenges Research Fund) through AHRC (Arts and Humanities Research Council), Grant number AH/P003648/1, as "After the Earth's Violent Sway: the tangible and intangible legacies of a natural disaster", Dr. Michael Hutt, Principal Investigator.
