General Note:
King Yoga Narendra Malla of Patan (Lalitpur) did not have any heirs. When he abdicated, he had his likeness put up on a column with instructions to his people that until the bird on his canopy flies off, he will be alive. The column collapsed and the king's statue also suffered damage but it was repaired and put in its place.
