General Note:
China supplied a large number of tents that were erected and used for temporary shelters in many places in the affected areas. The Tundikhel, a large open area in central Kathmandu housed the largest number of these tents. They were in use for more than six months after the earthquake, until the displaced were forced to leave this and other temporary shelter areas.
