Notes
- General Note:
- Jiri used to be a hub on the main trekking trail to the Everest region until motorable roads and airlines provided alternatives. In this photo, though many buildings are seen standing, zooming in for details reveals that many buildings/houses have collapsed in between those left standing. Jiri lies close to the epicentre of the largest aftershock on 12 May.
- General Note:
- Funded by GCRF (Global Challenges Research Fund) through AHRC (Arts and Humanities Research Council), Grant number AH/P003648/1, as "After the Earth's Violent Sway: the tangible and intangible legacies of a natural disaster", Dr. Michael Hutt, Principal Investigator.
