Abstract:
Inner Museum, Eastern Prayer Hall, Cabinet 4. --- Four manuscripts, two with sazigyo (binding ribbons), pair of gilded hintha birds on stands (back), two Keng Tung style offering trays with covers and cylindrical betel box with figures (front), small gilded hintha bird (front), flanked gilded box with carved lid (front right), fountain pen with written caption dated 1949 and the name U Myin Yon (front left), pair of offering trays with conical covers (front). A printed label credits the donation of five bronze kammawa and nine palm leaf manuscripts, to King Mindon and his Queen. Cabinet dated 1319 Myanmar Era (1957). Donor credit: Nyaung Shwe Town, Kantha Quarter. Daw Shwe Meh and children. [Their] meritorious deed. ( en )
