- Biographical history: Sati Sahni (Sat Paul Sahni) was from a Punjabi family in Kashmir. He was educated at Punjab University, Lahore. Sahni was a war correspondent in Kashmir in 1947-1948. He became a leading print and photo journalist in Kashmir, working for the 'Times of India'. He later became Director General of Information, Publicity Public Relations and Tourism Publicity, Jammu and Kashmir. He left Kashmir in 1989 due to the insurgency. He died in 2010.
