General Note:
Biographical history: Anoop Singh Bali was from a prosperous Sikh family from Baramulla, Kashmir. Following Partition he was in the Indian Air Force and returned to Kashmir in November 1947. He married Gunwant Kaur Bali in 1946.
General Note:
Biographical history: Gunwant Kaur Bali was present in Baramulla on the day of the attack. Her father was killed by raiders. She married Anoop Singh Bali in 1946.

Biographical history: Randir Singh Singh Bali was from a prosperous Sikh family from Baramulla, Kashmir. He was in Baramulla during the raid. He is the brother of Anoop Singh Bali.
