- Biographical history: Dr Anusuya Das was a pioneer of medical care for those displaced by Partition. was brought up in a Hindu family in Lahore. She qualified as a doctor and gynaecologist. Travelled to India in September 1947. Dass set up medical facilities for refugees in the Kingsway area of Delhi. She later became the principal of Lady Hardinge Medical College.
