- Biographical history: Brigadier Rao Abid Hamid was a retired Pakistani army officer and later a coordinator with the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan. His family was from Muzaffarnager, UP, India. He was a critic of the Pakistani Army and a campaigner for peace between Pakistan and India.
