- Biographical history: Maskhoor Hussein was born in around 1925. He grew up in Hissar, Punjab. He survived violent attack during Partition, which killed many members of his family. He left for Pakistan. He became a Professor of Urdu at Government College, Lahore. Maskhoor Hussein wrote a book about his experience of Partition.
