Biographical history: Ved Prakash Marwah was born in Peshawar in 1932. He was a policemen, working as Commissioner of Police, Delhi and Director General of the National Security Guard. Marwah later served as Governor of Manipur (1999-2003), Governor of Mizoram (2000-2001), and Governor of Jharkhand (2003-2004)
