- Biographical history: Abdul Ghani Lone was born in around 1936. In 1947 he was living in his home village near Kupwara in Kashmir. He became a politician within the All Party Hurriyat Conference and a leader of the People's Conference; jailed for his activities. He served as a minister in the state government of Kashmir.
