- Biographical history: Shanti Sehgal, a Hindu, was born around 1937 in Samriyal, a vilage near Sialkot. She lived in Sheikhpura before Partition. During Partition violence in Sheikhpura, two of her sisters and their children, and one sister-in-law were killed. She migrated to Delhi, India. She was the wife of Hari Lal Seghal.
