Acquisition: The donation was made to SOAS Library in June 2018 by Elsbeth Court, an academic who teaches African Art on the IFCELS course at SOAS, with the support and agreement of the artist Hassan Musa.

This drawing of Yuangtong Temple, Kunming, western China, was Musa's New Year's 2013 greeting (sent by e-mail). The Musas' son Mimane lives and works in Kunming, which prompted regular visits by Patricia and Hassan and motivated them to learn the Chinese language.
