- Acquisition: The donation was made to SOAS Library in June 2018 by Elsbeth Court, an academic who teaches African Art on the IFCELS course at SOAS, with the support and agreement of the artist Hassan Musa.

- Mail Art. The envelope is decorated on both sides. On the front is a photocopy print of men/negotiators with some added colour. The men are gesticulating with their hands, using the sign language of deaf people; on the reverse is torn paper collage. Musa’s drawing of the negotiators relates to his book Les funérailles de l’éléphant: Contes du Burkina Faso (2006), which emphasises the shadow play dimension of negotiation.
