Acquisition: The donation was made to SOAS Library in June 2018 by Elsbeth Court, an academic who teaches African Art on the IFCELS course at SOAS, with the support and agreement of the artist Hassan Musa.

Mail Art. The image, by drawing and collage, is of a zebra-striped odalisque under the rays of a stamp for the Freemason fraternity; the motif on her chest of a double Africa motif is one used during the 1990’s. Musa further explores the theme of black and white with many permutations in his accordion book Application Zebra (2012).
