- Acquisition: The donation was made to SOAS Library in June 2018 by Elsbeth Court, an academic who teaches African Art on the IFCELS course at SOAS, with the support and agreement of the artist Hassan Musa.

- Mail Art. This image features representations of two iconic women who symbolize liberation: Marianne and Josephine Baker, the famous American entertainer during 1920's Paris. For Marianne, Musa uses the body of Matisse's Blue Nude with a stamp head of her wearing a bonnet rouge from Delacroix’s 1830 painting Liberty Leading the People while for Josephine, he draws the body to a collaged stamp of her head and iconic pose.
